  • At least 75% of the stave boards around the drum intact.

How to schedule

Call the toll-free reel return line. Service Wire also publishes a Reel Return Guidelines flyer.

Notes

Service Wire says it picks up and recycles the returned reels. Its refurbished reels are painted green and made to the same specification as new reels.

Before you call

  1. Empty every reel

Programs want empty reels. Leftover cable can cost a fee or get the reel refused.

  2. Count Service Wire reels only

Other brands don't count toward the minimum. Check the count against the minimum above. Yard math shows how much of a truck it fills.

  3. Inspect against the condition rules

Set aside reels that fail. They go to a buyer or a recycler instead.

Reels Service Wire won't take?

Other brands, short loads, plywood and reels that fail inspection can all go in one pickup.
