About SpoolRecycling
One place to answer a contractor's real question: which of these reels go back for free, and who takes the rest?
What the site does
It identifies reels from their measurements, keeps a sourced directory of manufacturer take-back programs, does the yard and truckload arithmetic, and takes pickup requests for reels that don't go back to their maker.
Who handles pickups
Pickup requests go to our sister company, Repackify, which quotes and arranges them. The form says so, and the tools show free take-back routes first, even when that means there's nothing left to pick up.
How we keep the directory honest
A take-back program is listed only when its terms are published by the program itself. Each row links its source and the date we read it, and where a source is silent, the row says "Not stated." If you run a program and a row is out of date, send us the current terms and we'll update it after reading them.
What this site doesn't do
- It doesn't sell single spools for projects or crafts. For buying reels, see Repackify.
- It doesn't speak for any manufacturer. Programs set and change their own terms.
- It doesn't take cable. Reels need to be empty.
